Early life and education
Mohammed Kudus, a talented footballer, was born on August 2, 2000 in the vibrant city of Accra, Ghana. Growing up in the vibrant suburb of Nima, he had the privilege of living in a tight-knit community.
Raised by his loving mother, Mariama Suleman, Mohammed Kudus’ childhood was filled with love and support. His father, Suleman Idris Kudus, is a businessman. Speedster is his older brother.
However, this setback did not stop Mohammed from pursuing his dream. With his two siblings by his side, Mohammed Kudus attended a public school in Nima, where he received an education while nurturing his passion for football.
Career
Mohammed Kudus started his football journey with the Ghana team Right to Dream Academyand in 2018, he joined Nordsjælland, a Danish club. He showed his talent with ten goals in 40 matches in various competitions during his time there. His ability did not go unnoticed, leading to a €9 million transfer to Ajax in July 2020.
Mohammed Kudus made an immediate impact at Ajax, scoring three goals and providing five assists in his first ten games starting in September 2020. Unfortunately, a serious knee injury in December of the same year temporarily halted his progress.
But Mohammed Kudus returned in April 2021 and played a key role in Ajax’s Eredivisie title triumph. He also shone on the Champions League stage, featuring in ten games, including two starts in the semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur.
During the 2021–22 season, Mohammed Kudus continued to impress, scoring four goals and six assists in all competitions. In addition, he made his debut for the Ghana national team in November 2021.
Transfer news
In the August 2023 summer transfer window, a major move took place when Mohammed Kudus moved to West Ham United in a highly anticipated transfer worth an impressive €43 million.
