Jub Jub was born on June 29, 1980, in a family of five in Soweto, East Orlando, and grew up there.

In 2009, Jub Jub released his third album, FRESH AIR, which was a wonderful musical feast for his fans. He collaborated with Sheer Music and released the album on his own record label, Rare Breed Entertainment.

This is his first time performing since he was released from prison in 2017. Speaking to a local TV station, Jub Jub warned that the show is not for those who are overly emotional. “I am honoured to be a part of the first show of its kind in Mzansi,” he said.

Before going to jail, Jub Jub was with Kelly Khumalo. Khumalo is an actress and singer. She is also a single mother of two and often posts about her adorable daughter Thingo Meyiwa Khumalo, who she dotes on.
Thingo’s father, Senzo Meyiwo, was a football legend who was assassinated in Kelly’s hometown of Vosloorus. Kelly Khumalo and Jub Jub have a son, Christian Maarohanye Khumalo.

When asked why, he said he did not want to make his woman or their relationship public.On March 8, 2010, Jub Jub and his friend Themba Tshabalala were involved in a car accident, killing two schoolchildren and leaving another permanently injured.
The incident occurred when the two were heavily drugged and were participating in a drag race on a public road near a school.
