Early life
Monalisa Abigail Semeha (born 31 January 1988) commonly known as Mona Gucci grew up in the Volta Region of Ghana. She grew up in a small town called Kpando Fesi.
Unlike her adult life, her childhood was free of controversy and drama. Her parents wanted the best for her and provided excellent educational opportunities for the Ghanaian media queen.

In 2015, Mona joined an entertainment company; MonaPhil Entertainment USA after living for four years in Austin, Texas.
She once accused Afia Schwarzenegger on Instagram of leading a fake life, receiving a verbal backlash. Afia – who was furious about the allegations – told fans that the drama queen had allegedly scammed people out of large sums of money, in a glorifying attempt to help them travel abroad.
Mona Gucci once claimed that most Ghanaian slay queens make money in the UAE by sleeping with dogs, a claim she admitted to making in her formative years.

She was also accused by Afia Schwarzenegger of impersonating a lawyer. According to Afia, Mona Gucci pleaded guilty before a judge after admitting to the false allegations and promised to appear in court on January 11, 2021.
