Jon Batiste’s family is a famous musician family based in Louisiana. His grandparents were John Jeffery “Jeffey” Jean-Batiste and Estella Mae Batiste (née Curtis). His paternal grandfather was born in 1913 of Cajun French descent and hailed from New Iberia.
