Early life and education
Mosesi Mabuse was born on April 11, 1981 in Mankwe, South Africa. She is the daughter of Peter and Dudu Mabuse. When she was five, her family moved to Pretoria, where she spent most of her growing up years.
Motsi’s early life was influenced by her parents’ dedication, with her mother even starting a catering business to support Motsi and her sister Oti’s dance training.
Mabuse attended the University of Pretoria and initially studied law with the intention of joining her father’s law firm. However, her love of dance led her to leave university and pursue a professional dance career with funding from the North West Arts Council of South Africa.
