Early life
Mr Funny (Oga Sabinus) was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ejekiru on January 30, 1995. His parents named him Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekiru. His middle name and native name, Chukwuemeka, means “God has done so much.” in English.
He was born into a Christian family and was introduced to God’s teachings and morals by his parents from an early age. He comes from the South-South region. He was born and raised in Port Harcourt city. He is an indigene of Rivers State.
Mr Funny (Oga Sabinus) discovered his talent for comedy in his teens. He is often with many friends who enjoy having him around because of his jokes and humorous gestures. He was a popular student in high school and was known to amuse his schoolmates with jokes that made them laugh.

Although Mr. Funny (Oga Sabinus) knows how to make his close friends and family members laugh with jokes, he has never thought of entering the comedy business. However, he changed his mind after having his first performance on stage at UNIPORT’s Student Union Week in 2015.
Encouraged by the positive reviews he received, he decided to become a comedian. He began creating stand-up comedy content and performing at shows held at universities and other events in Port Harcourt. He also participated in many talent shows held in his hometown.
Mr Funny (Oga Sabinus) came up with the idea of switching to online content creation when he realized it was gradually creating waves in the country. He came up with the professional names, Mr Sabinus, Oga Sabinus and Investor Sabinus. He began writing comedy scripts and filming skits that he uploaded online. He did this continuously from 2015 to 2021, when he got his big break. By this time, he had become one of the top social media comedians in Port Harcourt. This is because he has improved the quality of content, production and the people he works with.
His fame spread from Port Harcourt to other cities after his videos went viral on the internet. This happened because top influencers in the Nigerian social media community, such as Tunde Ednut, reposted his videos on their social media pages.
In just a few weeks, Mr Funny (Oga Sabinus) has become a nationwide celebrity and thousands of Nigerians flock to his page to see more funny content. He became famous for the character he created: Oga Sabinus or Investor Sabinus.
Due to the traffic his site generates and how much people love his content, he has been approached by many companies for brand collaborations. Notable brands he has collaborated with are Fearless Energy Drink, Oddstackr, 1XBet, Magic Revive and Marymic Skincare Spa.

In June 2022, Mr Funny (Oga Sabinus) made a cameo appearance in the music video of Kizz Daniel’s single Buga. He has also been cast in a supporting role in the third season of the web series Papa Benji. At AMVCA 2022, he took home the award for Best Online Content Creator. He was invited to perform at his comedy show held in the UK. The show called Sabinus Live In London is held in September 2022.
Mr Funny discovered his talent at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) having ventured into comedy during the 2015 Students Union Week.
Using Mr. Ibu and Charles Inojie as models, Mr. Funny started by posting a series of one-minute comedy skits on his official Instagram page.
