Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekiru (born 30 January 1995) is a leading Nigerian content creator and social media influencer. He is widely known by his nicknames Oga Sabinus and Mr Funny.
He is a comedian, actor and brand ambassador who rose to fame after his comedy skits went viral on the internet.
As an actor, he has appeared in a few movies in the Nollywood industry. He was cast in a supporting role in Papa Benji Season 3. In 2022, he won the AMVCA Best Online Content Creator award.

Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, better known by his stage name Mr Funny (Sabinus Mr Mumuman), 29, is a Nigerian comedian and actor. Mr Funny (Mumuman), born on January 30, 1995 in Rivers State, Nigeria, rose to fame when he posted a series of comedy videos on his Instagram page @mrfunny1.
Mr. Funny (Mumuman) is a native of River State and is the brand ambassador of the popular betting website “Oddstackr“
Early life
Mr. Funny (Oga Sabinus) was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ejekiru on January 30, 1995. His parents named him Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekiru. His middle name and native name, Chukwuemeka, means “God has done so many things” in English.
He was born into a Christian family and was introduced to the teachings and ethics of God by his parents at a young age. He hails from the South-South region. He was born and raised in the City of Port Harcourt. He is an indigene of Rivers State.
Mr Funny (Oga Sabinus) discovered his talent for comedy as a teenager. He was often seen with many friends who enjoyed his company because of his jokes and humorous gestures. He was a popular student in high school and was known for entertaining his classmates with his jokes that made them laugh out loud.
Education
Mr Funny (Oga Sabinus) spent his formative years living in Rivers State. He underwent his primary, secondary and senior secondary education in Port Harcourt.
After graduating from high school, he decided to continue his studies at the University of Port Harcourt where he studied for a Bachelor’s degree. He obtained a degree in Linguistics and Communication Studies from this school.
Career
Although Mr Funny (Oga Sabinus) knows how to make his close friends and family members laugh with his jokes, he never thought of joining the comedy industry. However, he changed his mind after making his stage debut at the UNIPORT Student Union Week in 2015.
Encouraged by the positive reviews he received, he decided to become a comedian. He started writing stand-up comedy content and performed at shows held at universities and other events in Port Harcourt. He also participated in many talent shows held in his hometown.
Mr. Funny (Oga Sabinus) came up with the idea of moving into online content creation, seeing that it was slowly making waves in the country. He came up with the professional names Mr. Sabinus, Oga Sabinus and Sabinus Investor. He started writing comedy scripts and filming skits which he uploaded online. He did this consistently from 2015 to 2021, when he had his big break. By this time, he had become one of the top social media comedians in Port Harcourt. This was because he improved the quality of his content, production and the people he worked with.
His fame spread from Port Harcourt to other cities after his videos went viral on the internet. This happened because top influencers in the Nigerian social media community, such as Tunde Ednut, reposted his videos on their social media pages.
In just a few weeks, Mr Funny (Oga Sabinus) became a national phenomenon, with thousands of Nigerians flocking to his page for more humorous content. He became famous for the character he created: Oga Sabinus or Investor Sabinus.
Due to the traffic his site generates and how much people love his content, he has been approached by many companies for brand partnerships. Notable brands he has worked with include Fearless Energy Drink, Oddstackr, 1XBet, Magic Revive and Marymic Skincare Spa.
He has also collaborated with many other creatives in the entertainment industry such as Mr Macaroni, Kemz Mama, Basketmouth, Senator the Comedian, Toyin Abraham and TG Omori, among many others.
In June 2022, Mr Funny (Oga Sabinus) made a cameo appearance in the music video for Kizz Daniel’s single Buga. He was also cast as a supporting character in the third season of the web series Papa Benji. Various filmmakers have also contacted him to collaborate since his rise to stardom in the comedy industry.
At AMVCA 2022, he won the award for Best Online Content Creator. He was invited to perform at his comedy show which will be held in the UK. The show is called Sabinus Live In London which will be held in September 2022.
