Early life
Mulla Rae comes from a Christian family, and this explains why both his first and last name, Andrew Emmanuel, are Biblical names. He was born into Mr. and Mrs. Andrew’s family in the cold city of Jos in 1994.
Coming into the world in December, Mulla Rae will go on to spend her early years in the city. Although born in Jos, his hometown is Kogi, North Central Nigeria.
To begin his education, he enrolled in a kindergarten near his parents’ apartment. Then, in the early 2000s, the Emmanuels moved from Jos to Lagos.
From an early age, his parents instilled in him good qualities, discipline and courage to constantly pursue his dreams. This is why when Mulla Rae discovered his love for music at age 16 and wanted to pursue it professionally, his parents didn’t stop him. Instead, they gave him the support he needed.
Education
Mulla Rae received her first School Leaving Certificate from a prestigious primary school in Lagos.
After six years of serious study and active participation in extracurricular activities, he achieved the West African School Certificate. He graduated with honors from one of the top secondary schools in Lagos.

Passionate about educating himself and improving his knowledge base, he applied for admission to Lagos State University.
He is currently a student at the University’s Creative Arts department.
Career
Mulla Rae started writing lyrics in 2010, a very creative artist at the age of sixteen. His passion for music led him to fill pages in his room to compose songs. He also started performing songs in the presence of family members and neighborhood friends.
Encouraged by positive reviews from friends, Mulla Rae decided to overcome her fear and started going to a nearby studio to record songs.
However, Mulla Rae soon discovered that he had a lot of work to do before making it in the industry. So he started working on his sound to refine it to set himself apart from other artists. So, he took a break from releasing projects for a while because he wanted to develop his creativity and learn more about the music business.
During this period, he recorded several demos that caught the attention of several music enthusiasts when he performed them in local shows and concerts.
After many years of working underground, he decided to enter the music industry in grand style. And he did this with his official debut single, Wanted. The song was an instant success, gaining many Mulla Rae fans. The single became one of the most popular songs in the country receiving plays on major radio stations. Due to the success of the single, his management team decided to quickly film the music video for the song. His fans have been asking for it.
After weeks of thrilling fans, he released the visual for his hit single Wanted in April 2021.
On September 11, 2021, Mulla Rae let fans know about his upcoming project when he posted photos of himself and Afrobeats singer Zinoleesky during a recording session. The duo only worked together on one single. The single, whose title is still unknown, is expected to be released soon.
The Afrobeats star is currently signed to MullaDrew Records, where he owns a significant stake in the record label.
