Early life
Naledi Chirwa was born on the 22nd day of July in 1993. She was born and raised in the town of Vosloorus in the Gauteng region of South Africa.
She was primarily raised by her mother and grandmother and little is known about her biological father.
Her family moved to Mamelodi town after she completed her primary education.
Education
Naledi Chirwa started and completed her primary school education in Vosloorus.
She graduated from Mamelodi High School in 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Theater degree from the prestigious University of Pretoria.
She is currently studying for a Masters in Drama and Film Studies at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Career
Naledi Chirwa has been involved in politics and leadership since 2010 when she was elected student vice-president of Tshwane North College at the age of 15. She nurtured the dream of becoming a famous South African actress.
At the same time, she developed a great passion for helping ordinary South Africans, especially women who were facing difficult circumstances due to poor leadership. This was the driving force behind her joining the political group Fighters for Economic Freedom.
Naledi Chirwa in parliament. She was actively involved in the Tuition Reduction Campaign (a campaign born out of increased tuition fees, especially at the university level). She has worked closely with politicians such as Vuyani Pambo (who started the Fees Must Fall protest) and Nompendulo Mkhatshwa.
She was recently elected as a member of the National Assembly, becoming the youngest female member of parliament.
