Neil deGrasse Tyson, 65, was born in New York City on October 5, 1958, to Cyril deGrasse Tyson and Sunchita Maria.
He grew up with his two siblings, Stephen Joseph Tyson and Lynn Antipas Tyson, in the Castle Hill neighborhood of the Bronx, later moving to Riverdale.
