FKA Twigs has officially announced her third album, “EUSEXUA”.

The performer released a hypnotic lead single, also titled “Eusexua”, accompanied by a “personal” music video. [tells fans] to quit my horrible corporate job and have fun [sic] in a fun way.”

The upcoming album, a follow-up to 2019’s “Magdalene,” explores the theme of physical pleasure. It’s a celebration of the happiness that comes from connecting with others and engaging in art.
According to the press release obtained by MixMag, the meaning of “EUSEXUA” is “a state of being.”
“The feeling of being uplifted in the moment is often evoked by art, music, sex and unity. EUSEXUA can lead to a state of bliss and a sense of limitless possibility.”
“Also used to mean: ‘The Pinnacle of the Human Experience’. Eusexua is the moment just before orgasm. EUSEXUA is becoming one with the perfect stranger you’re kissing. EUSEXUA is losing track of time while on the dance floor.”
The article continues, “EUSEXUA is a surge of inspiration when an idea is formed. EUSEXUA can be many things to many people.”

Additionally, the term “EUSEXUA” means being completely immersed in yourself, being present in the moment, unplugging from technology and connecting with the people around you.
These poignant moments inspired the 36-year-old British singer-songwriter’s album, along with encounters in Prague’s underground techno culture and the filming of the horror film “The Crow,” in which she plays the mother of Jesus.

Meanwhile, Hypebae reports that according to Twigs, the meaning of “EUSEXUA” is “that feeling when you’ve been dancing all night and lost seven hours to the music.”
“It’s like when you meet someone you really like, and you kiss all night long, and kiss for hours. You lose track of time.”

“It’s because of the EUSEXUA situation,” she added.
Fans on Reddit also offered their interpretations and meanings of EUSEXUA, with one explaining, “I think she’s describing that unique sense of awe we feel when we feel mentally, physically, and emotionally in sync with ourselves and those around us.”
“It was a hallucinatory feeling.”
They continued, “The unity of the ocean. The collective excitement. I experimented with psychedelics and often thought about things like this.”
Another described the album title as “transcendent” and “unrealistic”.
Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, shared that “EUSEXUA” will be released on January 24, 2025.
