As a child, he combined his passion for futsal and street football.

Neymar moved to So Vicente, where he started playing for the youth club Portuguesa Santista. When Neymar joined Santos FC in 2003, they moved to Santos.
The family bought their first home, a mansion near Vila Belmiro, Santos’ home stadium, with cash earned from his childhood career.
Career
Neymar made his debut for Santos FC in 2009. Over the next four years, he became the club’s top scorer, helping them win the Libertadores Cup. However, he scored 54 goals in 102 games for the club.
During his time at the club, he was signed by Real Madrid at the age of 14, but he chose to stay at Santos FC due to being offered a better salary.
Neymar made his international debut in a friendly later that year after being left out of Brazil’s 2010 World Cup squad by coach Dunga in South Africa. He scored twice for Brazil in a poor Copa America campaign.
While playing for ‘Santos FC’, Neymar was sought after by some of the world’s top clubs. He joined ‘Barcelona’ in 2013 for a transfer fee of €86.2 million ($96.5 million) after a bidding war between ‘Real Madrid’ and ‘Barcelona’. Neymar scored four goals in the ‘Confederations Cup’, which Brazil won after defeating Spain in the final.
In the 2013 season, ‘Barcelona’ signed Neymar. In his first season with the club, he surprised everyone by scoring in important matches, including the ‘El Clasico’ against ‘Real Madrid.’ He scored 39 goals in all competitions for ‘Barcelona’ the following season and the club won the Champions League.
Neymar was Brazil’s star man at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The team went into the tournament hoping to win their sixth World Cup. He scored four goals in the tournament before being injured in the quarter-finals against Colombia.
As a result, he was unable to participate in the semi-final match against Germany. Brazil was eliminated from the World Cup in humiliating fashion after losing the semi-final.
During the 2016–17 season, Neymar was the star of the team, scoring the decisive goals in the UEFA Champions League round of 16. He also scored his 100th goal for ‘Barcelona’ on 2 April 2017.
That year, his team also won the Copa del Rey final. He was also selected as the captain of the Brazilian national team for the upcoming ‘Summer Olympics’ in Rio de Janeiro. He scored the winning goal against Germany in the final, bringing the country its first ‘Olympic’ gold medal in men’s football.
Neymar made his debut for ‘Paris Saint-Germain’ in the 2017-18 season, scoring in his first match against ‘Guingamp.’ Despite suffering from a sore right foot, he scored 28 goals in 30 games that season.

Media outlets have claimed that Neymar’s new girlfriend is Bruna Marquezine, a model and actress. The couple has been dating for a while now and no disagreements between them have been reported in the media.
When it comes to Neymar’s personal life, nothing is known, but he has a child named Davi Lucca, born in 2011 with his ex-girlfriend, Carolina Dantas.
Neymar is currently single and has no wife.
Net worth
Under the contract extension signed last May in Paris, Neymar earns around 71 million euros a year, rising to 2 million from 2021.
His contract also includes a series of performance-based bonuses, and if he stays for another year, his weekly earnings will rise to nearly €80m.
This money comes mainly from his contract with PSG, where he is the highest-paid player, surpassing Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé. He also has a series of high-value endorsement deals to add to the total.
As one of the highest paid players on the pitch, Neymar’s net worth is estimated at $200 million.
