Early life
Nhasty Jee was born Jeremiah Richard Bassey on April 10, 2002. He was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bassey. He was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Although he spent his formative years living in the South-South, he has roots in Akwa Ibom State. His father is a native of the oil-rich Akwa-Ibom State.
Nhasty Jee was raised in a Christian household where his parents made sure that they taught him good moral values. As a child, he regularly attended church with his family. He comes from a close-knit family of five. He has two siblings, an older brother named Kingsley Bassey and an older sister named Funmilayo Bassey.

He was so good at coming up with jokes and imitating them that he broke his ribs. During this time, he was a member of the school’s Drama Society and was often cast as a lead or supporting role in stage plays.
In 2022, Nhasty Jee decided to start his professional comedy career. Encouraged by the success of other comedians and social media content creators, he launched his content creation career on March 24, 2022. He started by focusing on Instagram and TikTok. He started recording videos and uploading them to his social media pages.
