Early life and education
Nicole Rebecca Seah Xue Ling was born on 17 October 1986 in Singapore. She was born into a Peranakan family and was raised by her parents, Leonard Seah and Patricia Lim. It is unknown in the media whether she has any siblings.
Seah attended CHIJ Katong Convent, Tanjong Katong Secondary School and Victoria College before graduating from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Communications.
Career
Nicole Seah began her political career with the National Solidarity Party (NSP). At the age of 24, she became the youngest female candidate in the 2011 General Election. Seah’s passionate speeches and media presence quickly established her as a rising star, gaining her considerable public attention and support.
After the 2011 election, Seah left the NSP and took a break from politics. However, she returned to politics in 2020 as a candidate for the Workers’ Party (WP).
