An American transgender cosmetic artist and beauty expert, she goes by the online moniker Mama Dragun (also known as Nyc Dragun). Because of her outspokenness about her transition from male to female, she is considered a youthful icon for transgender people.
With over 3.65 million subscribers, Nikita Dragun’s YouTube channel mainly posts beauty tips, vlogs, challenges, and inspirational videos about her transformation.
In addition to being an LGBT activist, she has also stated that after going through the transition process, she became aware of the common gender bias that women face. Nikita Dragun has over 8.4 million fans on Instagram, which shows how popular she is there as well.

Early life and education
Mama Dragun, also known as Nikita Dragun, was born in Springfield, Virginia, United States, on January 31, 1996. Her mother is a Mexican citizen, while her father is Vietnamese. Her parents are Mr. & Mrs. Nguyen.
She has an older brother named Vincarlo Nguyen and two older sisters named Allegrah Nguyen Capri and Taliah Nguyen Marriott.
Nikita Dragun trained as a male singer in school, but she plans to retrain to regain her voice after this change. In 2014, she enrolled in a four-year program at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
Career
Nikita Dragun first appeared on the photo-sharing website Instagram, where she developed a very curvaceous persona. She is a frequent YouTuber and believes she can succeed there as well, bringing her curvaceous personality with her. She initially avoided discussing her sexual orientation because she believed her fans would notice her change.
Additionally, Mama Dragun is a model for Jeffree Star Cosmetics. In September 2017, she revealed her first partnership with a company and launched a line of three wigs from Bellami Hair, Saphira, Khaleesi, and Cassie.
She announced the launch of Dragun Beauty in March 2019. Transgender people are the primary target market for the cosmetic products.
Additionally, Nikita Dragun stars in the Snapchat documentary series Nikita Unfiltered. The documentary series follows Nikita Dragun’s extraordinary life and rise to fame as a transgender woman, premiering on March 21, 2020.
Mama Dragun loved dressing up and playing with dolls as a child. When she lined up with the girls instead of the boys in her first gym class and insisted on wearing cut-off shorts, her mother realized something was wrong with her.
She started saving money for a gender transition at age eight after watching a documentary about transgender people. She became so genderless by the end of high school that she was at the peak of her homosexuality.
Nikita Dragun initially believed she was gay because LGBT issues were taboo. It wasn’t until she got older that she understood that she was a woman trapped in a man’s body. She decided to transition after feeling uncomfortable using the men’s restroom but hesitated because of her strict upbringing. However, her parents were very supportive of her choice.
Nikita Dragun had never met a transgender person in her life growing up in Virginia. However, after opening up on YouTube, she began receiving helpful advice from individuals all over the world, making her believe in the power of the site.
She moved to Los Angeles in mid-2015 when she started gaining popularity on YouTube, where she met many LGBT members who inspired her.
She decided to be authentic on her YouTube channel and share her story to inspire others. As a result, on July 22, 2018, Nikita Dragun uploaded a YouTube video titled Have I Gotten THE Surgery…, in which she discusses hormone replacement therapy, surgery to change her appearance, and even demonstrates the removal of pins from her skull.
