Early life and education
Nkem Owo was born into an Igbo family in Enugu State on February 7, 1958. He hails from Amagu village in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.
We have also found other sources claiming that the actor was born on October 17, 1960. Since we are yet to get confirmation from Nkem Owoh himself, we think it is important to mention this age difference here.
Nkem Owo was born in Enugu State, Nigeria. After completing primary and secondary school, he enrolled at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta to study engineering.
While studying at university, he began appearing in various television and film productions.
Profession
Nkem Owoh starred in the 2003 London blockbuster Osuofia. He is also known for his song “I Go Chop Your Dollar”, about advance fee scams. The song appeared in the film The Master, in which he played a con man.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission banned the song.In 2007, Nkem Owoh was arrested in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (Bijlmermeer neighborhood in Amsterdam Zuidoost district) as part of a seven-month operation called Operation Apollo by the Dutch police.
Nkem Owo was arrested while performing a music show when police raided the event and arrested 111 people for alleged lottery fraud and immigration violations. He was later released. In November 2009, Nkem Owo was unfortunately kidnapped in eastern Nigeria.
The kidnappers demanded a ransom of N15 million. Nkem Owo was allegedly released after his family paid a ransom of N1.4 million.

Nkem Owoh’s parents are from Udi, where he was born, but not much is known about them. He has an elder brother named Bartholomew Owoh. He is still alive, and contrary to the mere searches, no funeral has been held for him.
Unfortunately, General Muhammadu Buhari ordered the execution of Bartholomew Owo and two other Nigerian youths for drug trafficking. The three Nigerian youths were executed in public by firing squad.
Nkem Owo married Ngozi Nkem Owo in 1998. They have two daughters. Ngozi Nkem Owo wishes to stay out of the public eye.
Therefore, not much is known about her except her name. It is a common misconception that Nkem Owoh and Chinwe Owoh are husband and wife. According to Nkem Owoh, they are in-laws, not husband and wife.
