NoLay (born 1 December 1985), also known as Isabella Gotti, is an English musician, singer and songwriter born in South London. She is sometimes known as Bella Gotti, but her birth name is Natalie Athanasiou.
As a member of the band Unorthodox, she released her first single and music video, No Help No Hand Outs, making her breakthrough in the British urban music scene.
NoLay then began working on solo projects and released his debut grime song, Unorthodox Daughter, through Warner Bros. The song received television airplay and charted on MTV’s Hip Hop Chart.

Early life
NoLay was born in Croydon, England, on December 1, 1985. She is of Caribbean descent and a native of South London.
She turned to music when she realized she had a talent for it. With the explosive single Unorthodox Daughter, she became one of the UK’s most prominent female artists.
NoLay has since received support and interviews from channels such as MTV. BBC Radio 1, BBC 1 Xtra and BBC Radio 1 have all aired her music (Scotland).
There is no significant information about her siblings, father, mother, or even the school she attended.
Career
NoLay first appeared on the British urban scene as a member of the group Unorthodox. Her debut solo album Unorthodox Daughter was spawned by Unorthodox’s 2005 release No Help or Handouts, which caught the attention of major record labels.
The song appeared on the Warner 679 Recordings album Run The Road (2005), which featured British grime artists Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Kano and others.
To promote the release, the label also sent out a vinyl record featuring just Plan B and Nolay to record stores. Due to the success of Run The Road, 679 decided to release a second volume in 2006, and NoLay again appeared on the album with her song Unorthodox Chick.
Mobb Deep and Infamous Mobb featured NoLay as their opening act. She appeared on the Australian electronic rock band The Bumblebeez’s track Fuck Disco in 2006, and the two toured Europe together. NoLay made a guest appearance on Mongrel’s 2009 album Better Than Heavy. She also collaborated with Tricky on his 2014 album Adrian Thaws and toured Europe with him.
She played Mandy in the 2013 Channel 4 drama Top Boy. Mandy, the mother of Dris’ child, is his love interest and the main character.
After dozens of EPs and mixtapes released over a decade, NoLay released the album This Woman in 2017, preceded by a domestic violence-focused music video for the song Dancing With The Devil.
According to NOW Entertainment magazine, NoLay released a brand new song in 2021 called Gang Shit, which is the third track on her seven-track Hip-hop/Rap album, Kalas.
