Nomzamo Mbatha was born on July 13, 1999 in KwaMashu Township and is of Zulu ethnicity.
She became a model for beauty pageants at a very young age, even though her late father was not fully supportive.
Her father is the late Skuta Nxumala and her mother MonaKutu Mbatha is a teacher.
In 2009, her older sister passed away, and sadly, in 2014, her younger sister committed suicide.
Her only surviving sister is Wendy Mbatha while her brother Zamani Mbatha is an actor and popular personality.

She studied Accounting at the University of Cape Town and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2018.

In 2012, she was chosen to play the role of Thandeke in Isibaya. She portrayed the role so well that she became one of the most popular actresses in South Africa. Her role in the show lasted for seven seasons until her character was killed off. Her last appearance in the show was in March 2020.
