North West lands ‘Lion King’ role to ensure Kim Kardashian, Kanye West reunion for 10th wedding anniversary: Report

With all the focus on North West and her breakthrough acting role in Lion King and the subsequent backlash over her unfairly receiving the opportunity, people overlooked the fact that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West reunited to support their child on their wedding anniversary.

But it could also be planned on the Kardashians’ part, as there have been reports that Kim is adamant about getting North on the show because it will be featured on her family’s reality TV show.

Kim Kardashian and ex-husband Kanye West reunited for their 10th wedding anniversary to attend their daughter North West’s performance as Young Simba at The Hollywood Bowl, DailyMail.com exclusively reports.

A decade after their May 24, 2014 wedding in Florence, Italy, the former couple came together on Friday to support their eldest child, who made his acting debut amid controversy over statements about the role of ‘nepo baby’.

North portrayed Young Simba at The Lion King’s 30th anniversary concert in Los Angeles on May 24, receiving a standing ovation.

Insiders familiar with the project revealed the truth about North’s role and how she secured the prominent role of Young Simba. They claim that her famous family influenced her casting on stage and that the show’s participants felt compelled to agree for a number of reasons.

According to sources, North is not competing with other candidates. Her family’s relationship with the production company behind the event held at the Hollywood Bowl last Friday facilitated her casting.

“The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl and The Kardashians are both produced by the same production company, Fulwell 73 Productions,” an insider told Daily Mail UK.

“Fulwell partner Gabe Turner is also the creative showrunner for The Lion King,” the insider added.

Another insider revealed that the family plans to showcase the moment in an upcoming episode of their reality show, seemingly turning the show into a success for all parties involved. The fact that the show takes place on Kim and Kanye’s wedding anniversary would certainly add a little more juice to the episode if it were to air.

Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021, and after a bitter legal battle, their divorce was finalized in November 2022.

During their marriage, they welcomed four children: daughter North, Chicago, six, and sons Saint, eight, and Psalm, five.

The two have been in a relationship since their divorce.
