Early life
OGB Near is Nigerian by birth. He was born as Michael Charles on September 2, 1997. He was born in the oil city of Warri, Delta State. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles.
He is an Ijaw man, an indigene of Delta State. He spent his formative years in the Nam Nam region and lived in Warri from birth until adulthood.

As a big fan of comedian Brain Jotter, OGB Near decided to incorporate some of the former creator’s stylistic elements into his comedy style. However, to stand out from Brain Jotter, he took on the role of a cultist, which he was able to imitate perfectly.
So, he started making comedy videos and uploading them to his various social media channels. Within a few months, he gained attention as a content creator because people started liking his videos. They enjoyed the fact that he could imitate members of the secret brotherhood while still being funny at the same time.
In 2022, luck smiled on OGB Near’s career and he became a famous face in the creative industry. This win came because many of his videos went viral on social media. Many Nigerians now associate him with his catchphrase “You Want Collect” which he often says in his videos.
