Rodrigo announced that the proceeds from each of her Manila concerts will be donated to Jhpiego, a non-profit organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University.
The “Driver’s License” hitmaker, who is originally from the Philippines, conveyed a heartfelt message to her fans in Manila.
Rodrigo said on Instagram, “been dreaming about this show for a long time. My first time in the Philippines and my biggest venue ever!!!!! thank you Manila people for welcoming me generously and made me feel very loved and thanked.” Thank you @americanexpress for making this program possible.”
She continued, “I’m so excited that all net ticket sales from last night can be donated to @jhpiego through my 4 good foundation. I visited this organization when I was in Manila and was so excited. impressed with their work.” is working on providing health care services to women and girls in the Philippines. In addition to sharing snaps from her trip to the Jhpiego office, the Grammy Award-winning singer also posted snapshots of herself engaging in a discussion with a group of women at a conference table.
Another photo depicts her smiling alongside individuals affiliated with the organization, all standing next to a personalized “welcome” sign with her “Miss So Filipina” scarf .
Jhpiego is dedicated to supporting women and families globally by providing essential services such as reproductive health care, HIV/AIDS prevention, infectious disease education and key initiatives other.
The main focus of the organization is towards different countries such as Philippines, Tunisia, Brazil, Kenya, Nigeria and Thailand.
