early life

Music has always been a part of the Didia family. Omah Lay’s grandfather was the drummer for Highlife band mainstay Celestine Ukwu. So when Stanley decided to pursue a career in music, his parents were not surprised.

Born in Port Harcourt on May 19, 1997, he grew up on a Marine Corps base and was no stranger to the hardscrabble life of Philippine cities. As a teenager, he began to create. Eager to become the next big rapper, he nicknamed himself “Lil King” and thrilled his neighbors with his improvisational rap songs.

He lost interest in rap music and decided to switch to music production and started working as a backup for a few friends who were producers.
