Omega Strikers Update 3.01 Patch Notes

System changes

Maps and modes

[NEW] Clarion test room

  • Hidden deep beneath the Clarion Corporation headquarters is Rasmus’ personal core strike arena. However, there is more to this technological marvel than a simple love of the sport. Rasmus and Nao, Clarion’s Director of Special Projects, are here to test the effects of Omega Power on humans. They’ve found a way to replicate the magic and skill of some of the best forwards in the league, and now they’re using that power to push players to their limits…

  • The Test Room is an indoor arena with 5 different “variants”. Before each round, the arena transforms into a new variant, changing its terrain and incorporating new mechanics based on the strengths of other strikers. After each set, the variants reset!

    • Surprise your enemies with invisible vents in Project XENO

    • Smash your enemies into the crippling halo of the OBSCURA program

    • Triggering the cosmic power of Atlas on the EXPANSE project

    • Use high-speed buffers to keep the core (and enemies) of the BASS DROP project flying

    • Fight alongside your team and gain massive size gains in Project MAELSTROM

Map rotation

As with Awakening, we now sometimes rotate maps to highlight new options and improve the meta.

Rotation: Ghost Village, Atlas Laboratory

Active Rotation: We’ve reduced the number of maps in the active rotation from 6 to 5. We hope to get in and out of the map more frequently in future patches and micro-patches. The standard rule is that all maps have an equal chance of being selected.

Clarion Test Weekend: Clarion test chambers will have an increased (50%) chance of being selected this weekend in both the normal and quick play queues. On Monday, the normal and quick play queues will change back to allow for equal opportunity to select all maps in the active rotation. Ranked queue percentages will remain unchanged and follow standard rules.

User interface/system

  • Enable/disable viewers

  • Prefabricated lobby code

  • Lobby owners can rearrange teams (drag and drop)

  • Map selection

  • Game mode selection (normal, quick game, tea time battle)

forward

[NEW] Nao

Nao is the Director of Special Projects for Clarion Corp; a calculating businesswoman who uses drones to support her allies and establish areas of power on the battlefield. While her offensive abilities are limited, the supportive forward provides the player with a high skill ceiling and a set of utility and core control tools. To make the most of Nao’s toolkit, you have to think two steps ahead, place her lasting creations in strategic locations, and know when to act and take matters into your own hands.

  • sentry drone [PRIMARY]

    • Launch a drone to attack the first enemy hit. At maximum range or recast, it stops and generates unstable energy that increases in power and size over time, hitting the first enemy hit in the direction of cast.
  • close range drone [SECONDARY]

    • Deploy a drone at the target location, lasting up to 15 seconds, and explodes when it comes into contact with friendly players, knocking enemies away. Nearby allies are restored to 20% of maximum Stagger and gain 50% Haste for 1.25 seconds. Enemies can disarm the drone by briefly standing on it.
  • lifeline [SPECIAL]

    • Becomes elusive and blinks to a target location near you or an ally, restoring 50% of a nearby ally’s missing imbalance upon arrival. Over the next 3.25 seconds, recast BLINK back to the starting position.

Amy

Ai.Mi simps, uh, I mean, players are KOing other people too easily with her combos. This will make it a little trickier to implement.

Arthur

Last time we mentioned some buffs for Arthur, these should help goalkeeper Arthur, but shouldn’t give too many buffs to Arthur going forward.

  • guardrail beam [PRIMARY]

  • breakthrough [SECONDARY]

Drejka

We hope to see some cool plays from Shotgun Lizard that will help him control the court better.

  • Lava Arrow [SPECIAL]

    • PVP Knockback:: 120 (+60% power) → 140 (+70% power)

    • Damage and core knockback unchanged

    • [BUGFIX] No longer spawns behind him.

      • Result, maximum range:: 900 → 950

Feeney

As we mentioned before, despite living in a beautiful city, Feeney has been struggling to find her footing. We decided to give her entire kit some love with quality of life changes, digital buffs, and a mini-ability rework! We expect her win rate to be Finii% now.

Juno

Juno can now continuously attack the core at all points of the jump.

Kazan

Kazan has a poor win rate at most levels of competition. We’re pushing him a little bit to be at his most destructive but also fairest.

Kai

In upper level play, Kai couldn’t really hang. This will help him blend in better with disruptive players.

runes

Everyone is banning runes. stop. This should make him less annoying to face off against in goal, but keep him relatively the same forward.

  • Unstable exception [PRIMARY]
  • shadow exchange [SECONDARY]

X

X is not a popular choice in many levels of the game! Why? I mean look at him, he’s so good, so cool. His hair is so shiny. I’m glad I got this buff. I mean he’s getting this buff. Ha ha.

Equipment and Awakening

[NEW] fight or flight

  • Whenever you hit an object or are hit, your speed is increased by 20% for 1.5 seconds. Whenever you stagger an enemy or become staggered, your secondary abilities are refreshed.

[NEW] blade

  • Gain 40 strength and 30% speed when you are within 400 of the edge of the arena.

[NEW] Demoman

  • Volume increased by 25%. Whenever you destroy or assist in destroying an enemy barrier, your cooldown is reduced by 8 seconds.

[ROTATED OUT] :: Catalyst, fire up! , rapid firepower

capable person

The era of hot spots is coming to an end. The core in general has been flying and we need to slow down.just a little

One or two punches

As with Hotshot, we also want to slow down the core a bit with One-Two Punch.

hitter

Overshadowed by other silly options, Pummelers doesn’t give players what they need!

  • Speed increase during power play:: 20% → 30%

spark of tenacity

We removed the “base” staggered buff from the last patch, but want to improve this particular spark scale better.

hard shot

Strike Shot has been lagging behind other options lately, so we’re giving it a pretty big boost in the right direction.

  • Missile speed:: 1750 → 2000
  • Range increased by 75

  • Cooldown:: 11 seconds → 10 seconds

eternal creator

Creative forwards keep them on the pitch forever. This will make them less timeless and smaller, but still effective.

Vicious Vambraces

Armbands are an unpopular choice and only have limited effectiveness on a small subset of characters. This would make it a better choice for anyone in the cast.

  • Healing after core hit:: 4% of damage done → 10%

BUG fix

  • Kai no longer cancels his main when his special hits something.
  • The attack shot indicator no longer disappears.

  • Sakura Wildstyle Rune now displays the correct model when using in-game emotes.

  • Finii’s misdirection projectiles will no longer disappear when changing course.

  • Kazan can no longer hit the elusive ally with his open main

  • Inky’s Splash Zone water cannon audio will no longer play indefinitely sometimes

  • Various other minor bug fixes.

trend

Omega striker gameplay

In Omega Strikers, the game involves two teams, each consisting of three players. Their goal is to score points by driving a large puck called a “core” into the opposing team’s goal. The game displays everything from a top-down perspective, so you can see the entire field at once.

Players can choose their character from a series of options called Strikers. Each striker has their own special ability that they can use to do things like attack other players, move cores, help teammates, or make things more difficult for enemy players. When a character takes damage, a bar called a “stagger bar” begins to drop. When it reaches zero, the character becomes more susceptible to being knocked down and even leaves the field for a period of time.

As the game progresses, you can earn experience points by scoring goals, eliminating enemy players, or making saves. As the game progresses, these experience points help make your forwards stronger so you can become a more formidable force on the pitch.
