Evangelist Osinachi Nwachukwu (November 12, 1979 – April 8, 2022) is a gospel singer, songwriter and music minister from Nigeria.
The Abuja-based musician is highly regarded in the gospel music industry for her powerful voice and top-notch songwriting skills. She came to the limelight with the release of “Ekwueme”, one of the most commercially successful gospel songs of the new millennium.
She also appeared as a featured artist on top gospel singles such as “Nara Kele” and “You No Dey Use Me Play”.
Osinachi Nwachukwu died on April 8, 2022 due to health problems caused by injuries sustained in the attack.

early life
Evangelist Osinachi Nwachukwu is an Igbo woman from the South-East region.
She was born on November 12, 1979, as one of twins. Her twin sister is Mrs. Amarachi Grace Eze. She also has a sibling named Favour Made.
Her ancestral home is in Isochi town in Abia State. However, she spent her growing up years living in the city of Enugu with her family. She comes from a middle-class family but her parents made sure that she didn’t lack for any good things while growing up.
Osinachi Nwachukwu grew up in a Christian family which gave her a deep love for God. As a teenager, she loved going to church to mingle with other brothers and sing hymns to praise God.
Her mentor was Pastor AKA Ogene who helped her develop the fear of Almighty God and a passion to work in the Lord’s vineyard. She joined the choir at a young age which helped her develop musically. A few years later, she became one of the main singers in the church.
When Osinachi Nwachukwu grew up and got married, she moved to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. She then joined the Dunamis International Church, where the General Overseer of the church, Rev. Dr. Paul Nneche, became her spiritual mentor.

In 1996, she achieved excellent results in the high school graduation examination and graduated successfully.
She obtained her bachelor’s degree from a top university in the South East and completed the mandatory NYSC in 2009.

As a member of Dunamis International Church, Osinachi Nwachukwu is an active choir member and often leads the congregation in worship and praise to God on Sundays.
Although Osinachi Nwachukwu is a choir member, she is also a successful gospel musician. She discovered her musical talent at an early age and began writing and recording gospel songs. Over the years, she has released several gospel songs that have done well in the local market.
However, it was not until 2017 that she became a national celebrity. Her fame began after Prospa Ochimana sang her hit song “Ekwueme”. The song put Osinachi Nwachukwu in the spotlight of the Christian community as many believers loved the song and listened to it. “Ekwueme” has become one of the top worship songs ever released in Nigeria.
Later, her General Overseer, Pastor Paul Nneche, sang the song “Nara Ekele” for her. The single became a huge success in Nigeria and the global gospel music industry. The song brought more recognition to Osinachi Nwachukwu’s musical talent. She also sang the song “You No Dey Use Me Play” for singer Emma Onyx.

Personal life
Missionary Osinachi Nwachukwu died in hospital on April 8, 2022. Before her death, she was married to Mr. Peter Nwachukwu. They had four children, three sons and a daughter.
She lived with her family in a spacious and well-equipped house in the city of Abuja. She was reported to have died of throat cancer at the time of her death. But recent reports suggest that she was a victim of domestic violence, which may have contributed to her untimely death.
Close friends and family members have revealed that the late Osinachi Nwachukwu was often physically beaten by her husband. The husband was also said to have mentally abused the late gospel singer. People close to Osinachi Nwachukwu have accused her husband of being responsible for her death. This is because of the various injuries she sustained when her husband beat her.
As soon as the news broke, social media was immediately in an uproar. Mr. Peter Nwachukwu has been arrested by the police, who have begun investigating the real cause of death of the late gospel musician. He was detained on April 11, 2022.
