Story
P-Square (born November 18, 1981) is a popular Nigerian musical duo consisting of twin brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye. They are talented singers and songwriters, known as Rudeboy and Mr. P, and excel as record producers, dancers, and businessmen.
Their immense success has earned them a reputation as one of the most successful African music groups in history. In 2017, P-Square disbanded after disagreements between the brothers. However, they have since reconciled and are currently working on new music.

Early life and education
P-Square, a famous Nigerian twin music duo, was born in Jos on November 18, 1981. The brothers hail from the town of Ifite Dunu in Anambra State.
Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye’s mother, Josephine Okoye, and father, Pa. Moses Okoye, both worked in various businesses. Rudeboy and Mr. P, known as P-Square, were raised alongside their siblings: Jude Okoye, Mary Okoye, Lilian Okoye, Ifeanyi Okoye, Tony Okoye, and Henry Okoye.
P-Square then attended St. Murumba High Schoola small Catholic academy in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, where they received their West African Senior Secondary School Certificate.
Career
Back in 1999, a duo with musical aspirations began their journey under the moniker Smooth CrimeHowever, in 2005, they changed their name to the famous P-Square and introduced their debut album, Get squareto the world. The album achieved notable commercial success and played a major role in establishing P-Square as one of Nigeria’s top music artists.
Their musical talent continued with subsequent critically acclaimed albums such as Around, The game endsAnd Double troubleThese albums received critical acclaim and won numerous prestigious awards, including the prestigious MTV Africa Music Award for Best Group, cementing their status as music stars in Africa.
In 2011, P-Square signed a recording contract with Akon. Konvict Music label, leading to an increase in their global presence. They embarked on extensive tours across the United States, Europe, and Asia, further expanding their fan base.
However, in 2017, a rift between the two brothers led to P-Square’s disbandment, much to the dismay of their fans. Time heals wounds, however, and in a surprising turn of events in 2022, P-Square reunited and released a new song titled Jaiye (Game)This unexpected reunion sparked excitement and anticipation among their loyal fan base, rekindling the magic of their musical partnership.

Personal life
Peter ‘Mr. P’ Okoye is married to Lola Omotayo-Okoye, a marketing representative. Together they are the proud parents of two beautiful children, son Cameron Okoye and daughter Aliona Okoye. Their wedding took place in 2013 and was a grand affair, attended by many Nigerian celebrities and distinguished guests.
A renowned musician, Paul ‘Rudeboy’ Okoye is happily married to Anita Isama-Okoye, a talented lawyer. Their love journey began in 2014 when they exchanged vows in a small and private wedding ceremony. The couple’s beautiful son, Andre Okoye, brings them much joy and happiness. Every November 18, the identical twins celebrate their birthdays.
