Pacific Avenue Beauty Station
The Pacific Drive Detail Station is a convenient tool for customizing the appearance of your car. Located in your garage, it provides a space to store and apply various cosmetics, such as paints and decals, to enhance the appearance of your vehicle. To access a detail station, you can interact with it by clicking the “Open Inventory” button or by holding the interact button while selecting it. Once inside, you can easily organize and manage your cosmetics by dragging and dropping them into your workstation.

When it comes to applying cosmetics, Detailing Station offers a user-friendly interface with eight tabs at the top of the screen, each corresponding to a different cosmetic slot on your car. Just select a tab and a list of available items for that specific slot will appear at the bottom of the screen.
To apply a cosmetic, select it from the list and press the “Install” button. The cosmetic product you choose will be instantly applied to the corresponding part of your car. If you want to remove a cosmetic, you can do so by clicking on the “Clear Slot” button. It’s worth noting that the paint rack, located on the south end of the garage near the medicine cabinet, is where you initially store your paint and decals. You can transfer these items to the detailing station using the quick transfer button on the paint rack.
For more specialized parts, such as those used to modify a car’s chassis, you’ll need a detailing station. You can research and build the station using the crafting station you receive after running the tutorial. This is a valuable upgrade that unlocks more customization options for your vehicle.

There are various features you can use to personalize your vehicle to give it some personality, although this won’t necessarily improve your gameplay. Painting your car and adding decals are the first steps in customizing your vehicle in Pacific Drive. Once you discover a car paint in the world, you can take it back to your garage and add it to your paint rack. From there, you can select the paint or decals you want and apply them to different parts of your car.
It’s important to note that these paints and decals have limited uses, so it’s wise to paint your ride once you’ve unlocked the ability to repair car parts or have enough repair putty. Additionally, by building Detail Stations, you can unlock new inventories containing various cosmetic items such as ornaments and steering wheels. Unlike paints and decals, these decorations found while exploring the map can be safely stored in your garage and replaced without the risk of losing them.

A unique aspect is the ability to customize vehicles in the player’s garage, which serves as the central base of operations. Vehicle diagnostics are managed via the headset, allowing players to troubleshoot issues such as strange car behavior, such as the horn unexpectedly sounding when turning the steering wheel. Repairs in the game range from mobile repairs like changing a flat tire and using a blowtorch to more complex tasks handled in the garage.
The Invention Station in the Garage becomes a key resource, harvesting materials and crafting machines that reveal new routes, fuel cars, and destabilize areas. Faced with challenges such as metal monsters getting stuck on cars and weather factors affecting vehicle handling, players must strategize repairs and navigate electrical anomalies and obstacles.
The journey is not just about survival; Players can discover crafting recipes, blueprints, and interact with non-player characters to escape the Olympic Forbidden Zone, while collecting power cores in each level to unlock gateways and return to the garage, triggering a shift in the game’s dynamics, increasing hostility and the coming storm.
