Early life and education
Paraso was born on September 5, 1987, at Mulago Hospital to Gerald and Prosi Mayanja, a well-known Ugandan musician. He grew up in Kawempe, a suburb of Kampala, the fifth of seven siblings.
Palasso comes from a family with strong musical roots, with his three brothers – Jose Chameleone, Weasel Goodlyfe and AK 47 Mayanja – also making a mark in the Ugandan music scene.
His educational journey began Happy Hour Nursery and Primary School Bwaise in Kampala, followed by Mengge Senior High School and Kasavuo Secondary School After completing his O-level examinations, Pallaso continued his studies at St. Augustine’s College After graduating from high school, he ventured to the United States to study at Pennsylvania High School Continuing his studies. Paraso successfully obtained his Diploma in Direct Support, marking a significant achievement in his academic journey.
Profession
In 2000, Palazzo began his musical journey, finding his rhythm as a member of the musical group León and adopting the stage name Lizard. In 2003, the symphony of his solo music career kicked off with the release of his debut single, Mudijid.
In pursuit of musical excellence, he crossed the Atlantic to the United States in 2004, where he underwent a creative metamorphosis, re-emerging as the artist now known as Pallaso. His solo career culminated in 2015 with the release of his debut album, lover.
Palasso is a star in the Ugandan music scene, collaborating with renowned artists such as Davido, Sheebah Karungi and Vector to showcase his talent. His skills have been widely recognized, winning him several accolades such as Best Overseas Artist at the 2014 HiPipo Music Awards and Hottest Collaboration at the Buzz Teeniez Awards. Personal life
Paraso, 36, who is the brother of famous musician Jose Chameleone, and his wife Nicole Hayman have two children together, they have an adorable daughter named Maisha Mayanja and a son named Dinari Mayanja.
