What makes Palworld stand out is the way it combines guns with the idea of taming creatures. That’s why some people call it the “Pokémon with a gun.” You can also use Pals to complete tasks such as working in the mines or making food. Players generally enjoy this game because of its fun gameplay and interesting story.
But some felt it relied too much on shock jokes and copied ideas from other games like Pokémon. Still, Palworld remains popular with players who enjoy exploring and fighting in quirky, imaginative worlds.
Palworld Pals do not learn actions
Understanding skill acquisition
In Palworld, your friends don’t learn new moves after each level. Instead, they gain new skills when they reach specific level milestones. This means your friends won’t gain new abilities with each level up.

Check your friends’ skills
Don’t worry if you don’t see the new skill in your friend’s active skills list immediately after they reach a milestone. The skill is still there, but may not be automatically visible.
Access the active skills menu

To find newly acquired skills, navigate to your friend’s Active Skills menu. Here you will see a list of all moves your friends know. Even if the new action doesn’t show up initially, you can rest assured that it’s available.
Exchange active skills
In the “Active Skills” menu, you can flexibly change actions. This means you can replace any existing action with a newly acquired action. Don’t hesitate to try and choose the move that best suits your partner’s abilities and your game strategy.

Teach your friends new moves in Palworld
In Palworld, it’s important for your friends to learn new moves. There are two ways to do this: let them level up or teach them directly.
Upgrade: automatic learning
- When your partner reaches a certain level, it will automatically learn new moves.
- If your partner already knows three moves, you’ll have to switch between them manually when it learns new moves.

Direct teaching: looking for the fruits of skills
- Teaching your friends directly takes more effort and time.
- You need to find something called a Skill Fruit, which is rare and grows on special trees in the game.
- These trees only have three fruits each, so they are hard to find.
Obtain skill fruit
- When you find a tree with a skill fruit, pick the fruit.
- Each fruit is suitable for a specific type of partner and contains different moves. For example, a fire fruit may produce a move called Spirit Fire.
Skills and Fruits Teaching
- Once you have the fruits, they go into your inventory.
- Right-click on the fruit to teach the action contained within it to one of your friends.
- Some partners may not be able to learn moves from fruits that match their type, but this is rare.
In short, while upgrading is automatic, teaching directly with skill fruits requires more work. But it’s worth it to make your friends stronger in the game.

Players will encounter more than 100 unique creatures called “companions”, engage in battle, and capture weak companions with special “companion balls”. Partners can be obtained from the black market or through trading. Once captured, companions assist with tasks such as scavenging and cooking, each possessing unique combat or utility companion skills.
Players will face off against various factions such as the Wren Syndicate and the Free Pals, led by powerful trainers in towers on the island. Human NPCs patrol the islands, sometimes leading to hostile conflicts. Palworld uses a wanted level system, which triggers aggressive responses from NPCs and defense forces if players misbehave. It’s an exciting world filled with exploration, combat, and strategic alliances in the pursuit of dominance.
