Early life and education
Papi Kojo was born on February 13, 1989 in Takoradi, a coastal city in the Western Region of Ghana.
He is the son of businessman Kofi Badoo and nurse Rosemond Ghaisi. He attended the Ritchie International School. At the age of 11, he moved to Italy to live with his uncle and aunt.
He went on to study at St Martin’s College, where he learned Italian and English. He became interested in rap music, listening to artists such as Jay-Z, Nas and 50 Cent.
He began writing lyrics and recording songs on his phone, and he joined a rap group called C2C, which was made up of other Ghanaian immigrants in Italy.

They followed up with another successful song, “Real number“, sung by Sarkodie, became Pappy Kojo’s breakthrough single.
