Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has shared her thoughts on her mental health struggles on World Mental Health Day.

According to Rolling Stone on October 10, Williams uploaded a post to Instagram through the account of Good Dye Young Inc., the hair dye company she co-founded. The post highlighting this year’s World Mental Health Day shared some of the “Still Into You” singer’s challenges.

Williams began by recalling 2018, when she was diagnosed with depression and a certain type of PTSD. Before receiving this diagnosis, Williams struggled with issues with his health and mental state.

“Admittedly, I was very ignorant about mental illness and its severity,” Williams shares. “I didn’t realize it could also affect your physical health.”

Williams revealed that she learned from her doctor that she suffered from chronic fatigue and added, “However, I still didn’t appreciate how connected my mind and body really were.”

The singer emphasized how common fatigue is, making it more difficult to manage daily life in the modern world.

Fans expressed how proud they were that Williams opened up and resonated with them. Some comments include “This is why I love Hayley so much,” “Hayley is an absolute inspiration to me,” and “Thank you for being so open with us.”
