Paris Winningham On The Voice
Paris Winningham competed on NBC’s singing competition show “The Voice” in season 21. During the blind audition, he performed Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition.” John Legend, one of the show’s coaches, was the first to turn his chair around. Ariana Grande was then the second and final of the four coaches to turn her chair around, leaving the other two (Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton) standing.
Although Ariana really wanted Paris on her team, he ultimately chose John as his coach.
In the competition round, Paris went up against Jonathan Mouton (both on Team Legend) and sang “Here and Now” by Luther Vandross. Both singers sang their hearts out and impressed all the judges including John. However, Paris won the round.
In the knockouts, Paris sang “Tennessee Whiskey” by David Alan Coe. He competed against Jershika Maple. He lost to Jershika because John picked her as the winner. However, coach Blake Shelton stole Paris from John and he was safe to move on to the next round.
During the Live Playoffs, the Jacksonville native sang The Temptations’ “I Wish It Would Rain.” He made the Live Top 13 with Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On.” He made the Live Top 11 with Bill Withers’ “Use Me.”
Currently, in the “Top 10”, Paris competed with Team John Legend (Jershika Maple, Joshua Vacanti), Team Ariana Grande (Jim and Sasha Allen, Holly Forbes), Team Blake Shelton (Lana Scott, Wendy Moten) and Team Kelly Clarkson (A Girl Named Tom, Jeremy Rosado, Hailey Mia).

Upon returning, Paris began working as a Regional Sales Manager at Culligan. Beginning in 2019, he became an Assistant Store Manager at T-Mobile.
