Early life
Patrick Mahomes II was born in Tyler, Texas, on September 17, 1995, to Randi Martin and Pat Mahomes, a former professional baseball (MLB) player.
In addition to American football, he attended ‘Whitehouse High School’ in Texas and played baseball and basketball. He was an outstanding football player in his senior year of high school.
15 runs scored, 50 touchdown passes, 948 running yards, and 4,619 passing yards are some of his accomplishments. He was also a skilled baseball player. He threw a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts in one contest as a pitcher.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys of Oklahoma State University are Patrick Mahomes II’s first college football opponent. He was brought in to replace injured quarterback Davis Matthew Webb.
He started his first game for the University of Texas at Austin against the Texas Longhorns. Patrick Mahomes II was retained as the starter for the final three games of the season after completing 13 of 21 passes in his debut. He passed for 598 yards and six passing touchdowns in one of his games against the Baylor Bears of Baylor University.
He was rated the second best quarterback by ‘Sports Illustrated’, third by ‘ESPN’ and fourth by ‘NFL Selection Scout’ before the draft. He was one of the most sought-after players in the draft because of his outstanding performance in college.
The Kansas City Chiefs eventually selected him in the first round of the draft. He also set a new NFL record for most touchdown passes in the first two weeks of a season in the same game. He was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, becoming the first quarterback to win back-to-back Player of the Week honors since 2011.
Patrick Mahomes II had 304 passing yards, one running score and a touchdown in a win over the Denver Broncos in his fourth week as starting quarterback. Despite four touchdown passes, 352 passing yards and two interceptions, his team lost to the New England Patriots in week six.
The Chiefs responded by defeating the Cincinnati Bengals in their next game. He had four touchdowns, 358 passing yards, and one interception in the contest. In the next game, he threw for four touchdowns, one interception, and 303 yards in a win over the Denver Broncos.
Patrick Mahomes II became the second quarterback in NFL history to reach 50 passing touchdowns and 5,000 passing yards while playing against the ‘Oakland Raiders’ in week 17 of the 2018 season. He is also one of only seven players in NFL history to pass for 5,000 yards in a season.
He had 278 passing yards and one touchdown against the Colts, helping the Chiefs win their first home playoff game since 1993. With the win, the Chiefs qualified for their first AFC Championship game since 1993. However, the club was defeated in the finals by the New England Patriots.
