Once you’ve completed the first few main quests, Lavenza will open the Velvet Room. She gives you a few characters to use and start putting together new ones. Persona 5 Tactics Review

Persona 5 Tactica is a spin-off game that doesn’t quite match the epic feel of Persona 5 Royal to me, but it’s still fun to reconnect with favorite characters. The game’s grid-based combat system, while not as impactful as the original JRPG, showcases Atlus’ expertise in creating strategic combat.

Tactica is set between the second and third terms of Persona 5 Royal and assumes players are familiar with the story, making it less suitable for newcomers. The art style, which features partially chibi characters, takes some getting used to, but Persona 5’s aesthetic still shines through. The menu screens and imaginative kingdoms maintain the series’ unique style, even if some locations (like LeBron) look a little different.
