Peter Drury was born on September 24, 1967 in England. He grew up as a passionate West Ham United fan. He is 56 years old.

His commentary work for Leeds Radio included matches involving Halifax Town, Bradford City and Huddersfield Town. Peter Drury also appeared as a commentator for both legs of the UEFA Champions League first round tie between Leeds United and VfB Stuttgart in September 1992.
Peter Drury then joined ITV in 1998 and his first commentary job for the channel was covering the FA Cup sixth round match between Sheffield United and Coventry City on 17 March 1998.
