Picazo Rhap, widely known as Omogbolahan Sodiq Ilabode, is a 26-year-old Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter.
He broke into the industry with a series of freestyles and competed in some competitions which led to him becoming the boss of YBNL and Olamide being called up to join the team.
Background and Education
Picazo Rhap was born on November 7, 1997 in the Western Region of Nigeria, but grew up in Lagos (especially the mainland).
He is a mass communication student at the prestigious Lagos State University
music career
Picazo Rhap started his music career at an early stage of his life, always doing covers of popular songs and uploading them on his social media platforms to build his fan base.
He subsequently caught the attention of YBNL boss Olamide after creating a cover of “Able God” on October 15, 2018; the song, originally owned by Chinko Ekun, highlighted the fandom of Zlatan Ibile and former YBNL star Lil Kesh at the time .
Prior to joining Bigfoot, Picazo Rhap was closely associated with Bit Bender Studios; a music recording, mixing and mastering studio owned and operated by Sleekamo.
It was in the studio that Picazo Rhap recorded some of his singles, such as “Macaroni”, which he later remixed with Olamide.
Picasso quits YBNL
On July 9, 2019, shortly after the news broke that Lyta had quit YBNL to join the Doro Musik Gang, Picazo Rhap was also in the news for leaving the team.
There are rumors that he was not signed by YBNL, Olamide just gave him a platform to showcase his talents to the world. Therefore, without being signed by Olamide, Picazo Lapu has no hesitation in expelling the team when he sees a better deal or is mature enough to become independent.
His resignation was not due to discord.
Picazo Rhap was signed shortly after quitting YBNL and moving to a new label, “Senior Boyz Records”.
