Pooja Hegde was born on October 13, 1990, in Mumbai, Maharashtra and was brought up by her parents Manjunath Hegde and Latha Hegde and her elder brother, orthopedic surgeon Rishabh Hegde.

She attended Manekji Cooper Education Trust School in Mumbai and later did her Bachelor of Commerce from MMK College where she was actively involved in dance and fashion shows.
