Portable Omolalomi was born in the ancient city of Abeokuta on March 12, 1994. A week after his birth, he was named Habeeb Okikiola. He was born in Ogun State in southwestern Nigeria to Mr. and Mrs. Okikiola, a Yoruba family.
Potable Omolaromie and his siblings were raised in the city of Abeokuta by their parents who shared their Muslim faith. Growing up in Abeokuta meant that Potable Omolaromie became fluent in Yoruba from an early age as it was the medium through which he communicated with his parents, friends in school and community, and extended family members.
When he was in primary school, he listened to rap songs by American singers such as Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur, The Notorious BIG and Snoop Dogg through his father’s tape recorder and was deeply influenced by them. He admired these singers very much and started to compose rap songs whenever he was inspired.
However, with the rise of local rap artists like Lord Of Ajasa, Dagrin, Danny Young, Olamide, QDot, CDQ and others, he decided to turn to Yoruba rap and aspire to become a professional musician.
educate
Portable Omola Romi did not miss out on getting a good education while growing up.
His parents ensured that he attended the best public schools in Abeokuta for his primary and secondary education.

While in Lagos, Portable Omolalomi was always on the lookout for producers to work with as he was often producing new rap songs. However, he still made ends meet by working a 9-to-5 artisan job in the Lagos mainland area.
Despite recording a few songs that did not perform well commercially, Portable Omolalomi’s dream of becoming a top artist in the industry has not been deterred. Luck favored him recently when he had the opportunity to meet his music idol, Olamide. It was an emotional moment for Portable as he knelt down and hugged Olamide’s legs, sobbing and crying.
Fortunately, Portable Omolalomi’s artistic talent was recognized by Olamide, who set him on an ongoing project with dancer and recording artist Poco Lee. The project gave rise to the song Zazuu Zeh, which became an instant hit. The song became a hit in the industry with its catchy lyrics and the phrase “Zazuu Zeh”, which brought Portable into the limelight.
Ever since Portable Omolalomi shot to fame with this song, he has received many requests for collaborations from top artistes in the industry.
