Prateek Suri (born 5 April 1988) is an Indian entrepreneur, innovator and astute angel investor.

He is the founder of Maser Group, a leading electronics company in the Middle East and Africa. He currently holds the position of CEO of Maser GroupSmart TV manufacturer based in the United Arab Emirates and Africa.

Prateek Suri is the founder of MDR Investments (one Maser Group VC arm) and the African Financial Confederation. He is a Global Public Speaker and Corporate Thought Leader.

Early life

Prateek Suri was born into a Punjabi family of Suri’s grandparents on 5 April 1988. He was born and raised in Delhi, India. He is Indian by birth. He comes from a close-knit family of four. He has an older sister named Supriya Suri.

He grew up in a middle-class neighborhood in Delhi, his father was a businessman, and his mother was a housewife.

When Prateek Suri was in high school, his parents founded the family business. He worked in the family business after school and on weekends. It was during this time that his passion for business was born.

Education

Prateek Suri studied at Barakhamba Road Modern School, New Delhi, for his primary and secondary school achievements. He joined the school in 1994 and graduated in 2006 with excellent grades in his O’Levels.

He was accepted Birla Institute of Technology and Science in 2006. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree from the university in 2010. He graduated with honors from the university’s Dubai campus. He was also honored with an Honorary Doctorate in Dubai in International Business.

Career

While still a college student, Prateek Suri took on an Internship role at Keihin Panalfa LLC. He interned for two months, from February 2008 to March 2008. After graduating from college, he started his trading business in central Delhi. While running his small business, he worked briefly at Kingsmen Middle East LLCwhere he held the position of Sales and Marketing Associate.

After several years of running his trading business, Prateek raised enough capital to start an electronics company. He was established Maser Group in 2017 and started producing TVs, selling to the local market for the first time. In just a short time, Prateek has dominated the local market and sells hundreds of thousands of TVs every month.

After establishing customer trust and confidence in the local market, he moved into the international market by establishing a Logistics Facility at Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai, and since then, Maser has achieved significant success in the African market.

Over the years, Prateek Suri has grown into a leading Smart TV manufacturer in the Middle East and Africa. He has sold millions of televisions to customers in two regions. Under his leadership, Maser Group becoming a Unicorn Company in Africa worth over $1.9 billion and planning to expand into other markets.

When Prateek is not CEO of Maser Group, he is an angel investor. He has invested in several startups and early-stage companies as a serial entrepreneur. He is passionate about supporting and mentoring young entrepreneurs and is actively involved in the startup communities in Africa, the Middle East and India.

35 year old Prateek Suri is a married man. He is happily married to Deepali Dey. The couple has homes in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and New Delhi, India. He owns a fleet of cars in his garage. He is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys jogging and playing table tennis in his free time. During high school, he was an active and involved table tennis player National ranking table tennis championship 2005.
