Sophia Grace Brownlee and Rosie McClelland are proving they still get it after all these years.
It’s been more than a decade — 13 years to be exact — since the couple appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Showthe couple recreated Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” moment at Sophia Grace’s baby shower.
To make the video, the cousins used original audio from 2011 when they appeared on the show. They lip-synced to the song as the video captured them set against a backdrop of pink balloons.
For the video, Sophia Grace wore a pink off-the-shoulder dress that showed off her baby bump while Rosie wore a black crop top, gray skirt with zipper detail, and black combat boots.
The clip was shared to Rosie’s Instagram on November 20, with the simple caption “Back” and prompted Sophia Grace to reply, “Love you.”
When Sophia Grace and Rosie first appeared on Ellenthey had the opportunity to meet and sing with Nicki, leading Grace to declare, “I’m the second Nicki Minaj!”
The girls reflect on their experience appearing above Ellen in 2022 when they return to the show for its final season.
“The most profound memory was when Nicki Minaj appeared,” Sophia Grace shared.
“I literally looked in every direction except the direction she was coming from, but when I finally saw her, everything was just chaos,” she added.
This is not the first child for Sophia Grace, who already has son River, 20 months old. Her next child is said to be a girl. She has both children with her long-term partner, whom she does not share with the public as most of their relationship is kept private.
Before showering, Sophia Grace shared that Rosie helped her a lot during this event.
“Rosie saved the world. She brought the same thing with her [ring] gently like the last time River welcomed a baby because I didn’t have one,” she said in a YouTube video.
Sophia Grace previously shared her excitement about having a daughter in a separate YouTube video.
“I’m glad you don’t even understand. Personally, I really want a girl. I know people will say, ‘You shouldn’t have an opinion about what gender you want. You should be happy.’ And of course I’m happy with any child, but I already have a son, I really want a daughter and I don’t think I will have a daughter,” she said.
