Early life and education
Prince Louis was born on 23 April 2018 at St Mary’s Hospital in London, weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces. He is the third child and second son of William and Catherine, the Prince and Princess of Wales.
He was named Louis Arthur Charles, in honour of his grandfather, Charles, Prince of Wales, and his third great-uncle Louis, Earl Mountbatten of Burma.
The baby was baptised on 9 July 2018 by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, at the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace. He has two older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who are also in line to the throne.
