Early life and education
Qi Yuwu was born on November 28, 1976 to Chinese parents. He spent his childhood in China and later moved to Singapore to live out his life.
Before moving to Singapore, he studied at the Guangzhou Sports Institute. In the 1999 Singapore Star Selection China Competition, he won the championship and the title of Mr. Personality.
Previously, Qi Yuwu worked as a model and starred in a TV series produced in Guangzhou, after which he signed a contract with Singapore Television Limited (now MediaCorp).
Personal life
Qi Yuwu began dating his co-star Joanne Peh in April 2013. The two got married on 9 September 2014 at The Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa.
On January 28, 2015, Qi Yuwu and Bai Qiongyao were about to welcome their first child. On August 7, 2015, Qi Yuwu and Bai Qiongyao gave birth to a daughter at Elizabeth Hospital.
In October 2016, Qi Yuwu and Joanne Peh revealed that they were pregnant with their second child. On April 21, 2017, Joanne Peh gave birth to a boy.
Qi Yuwu has two children: a son, Qi Didi, and a daughter, Qi Baobao.

Qi Yuwu won the championship of the Singapore Star Avenue China Competition and the title of Man of the Year in 1999. Before signing with MediaCorp, he worked as a model and starred in a Guangzhou TV series.
