Ram Pothineni (born 15 May 1988) is a talented Indian actor and television personality who has acted in many Telugu films. He is widely acclaimed for his versatility in acting and portraying film roles.

Later, he started playing lead roles in many films like Ready (2008), Kandireega (2011), Pandaga Chesko (2015), Nenu Sailaja (2016), Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi (2017), etc.

Ram Pothineni was born and arrived on 15th May 1988. His father is Murali Pothineni. Ram Pothineni’s father is Murali Mohan Pothineni and Padmasree Pothineni.

He has an elder brother named Krishna Chaitanya Pothineni and an elder sister named Madhu Smitha Pothineni who is married to actor Sharwanand’s elder brother Kalyan. Filmmaker Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is his uncle.

Ram Pothinani started out in the Tamil short film Adayaalam (2002), in which he played an 18-year-old drug addict. He then went on to act in a theatre show with Devadasu in 2006. His next film Jagadam Ni Isha Sahani was directed by Sukumar.

He then starred in Ready with Genelia D’Souza coordinated by Srinu Vaitla, which was a commercial success. In 2009, he had two productions, Maska and Ganesh: Just Ganesh. In 2010, Ram Pothineni starred in only one production, RamaKrishna, composed by Dil Raju and coordinated by Srinivas.

Ram Pothineni’s next film was Kandireega (2011). He later acted in Endukante…Premanta! (2012) shot by Tamannaah, coordinated by Karunakaran and delivered by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore.

Ram Pothinani acted in two films, Panda Chisko and Shivam, in 2015. Panda Chisko, directed by Gopichand Malineni, was a commercial success, while Shivam turned out to be the biggest failure of his career.

In 2016, he had two releases, both produced by his own production company Sri Sravanthi Movies, one was the commercially successful Nenu Sailaja and the other Hyper produced by Santosh Srinivas, which became a commercial success in the film industry.

After a series of flops, Ram Pothenani finally tasted success with this film. The film grossed over Rs 90 crore and became the highest-grossing film of his career.

His 2021 film Red, in which he played a dual role, was a huge hit and was based on the Tamil film Saddam (2018).
