Ramsay Noah Biography
Ramsey Tokunbo Nua, popularly known as Ramsey Nua, born on December 19, 1970, is a Nigerian actor and film director.
Noah was born in Edo State to an Israeli father and a Yoruba mother from Owo, Ondo State.
He grew up in Surulere, Lagos and attended Atala Primary School and Community Grammar School.
He obtained a degree in Mass Communications from the University of Lagos and then pursued a career in acting. He is married to Emilia Phillips Noah and they have two sons and a daughter, Quincy Noah, Camille Noah and Desiree Noah.
He won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in 2010.
He also made his directorial debut in 2019 with the film Life Tied and Breaking Free.
Acting career
Ramsay Noah’s acting career began when he starred in the Nigerian television soap opera, Fortune. Since then, he has starred in several movies as the lead and is known as “Lover Boy” for his many roles in romantic movies.
In 2010, Ramsay Noah won the Africa Movie Academy Best Actor Award for his performance in Statuette. Ramsay Noah is considered one of Nigeria’s most sought after actors. In 2015, he acquired the rights to Living in Bondage from Kenneth Nnebu, which may be remade in Europe, the United States, and Nigeria.
The news was later confirmed on Instagram, but the film seemed to have been in development hell for three years. In 2018, Ramsey Nouah announced a sequel, Living in Bondage: Breaking Free, which was released on November 8, 2019.
Ramsey Nouah makes his directorial debut as the new cult leader, Reverend, and stars returning cast members Okwonkwo, Udokwu and Kanayo O. The story revolves around Andy’s son Nnamdi and his quest for wealth. Rapper and MBGN award winner Muna Abii also stars in the sequel.
