Randy Orton is the son of professional wrestler Bob Orton II and nurse Elaine Orton. He was born on April 1, 1980 in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States.

He is the nephew of Barry Orton and the grandson of professional wrestler Bob Orton II. He has a sister named Becky Orton and a brother named Nathan Orton, who is a stand-up comedian. He has a younger brother named Roderick Orton.
