Rebecca Lim was born on September 26, 1986, the second of three children in a Fujianese family. She has an older sister named Melissa Kim and a younger brother named Daniel Lim.
She received her early childhood, primary and secondary education at St Nicholas Girls’ School. She then went on to Victoria Junior College and Singapore Management University (SMU) for her tertiary education.
Rebecca Lim competed in the Miss Universe Singapore pageant while studying for a double degree in accounting and law at the Singapore Management University.
