Early life

Rhymer_Lee was born to Mr. Paul Okeke and Mrs. Anasthesia Okeke on October 25, 1998. At birth, his parents named him Peter Okeke.

He comes from a Christian family which is why he was named after a biblical figure. He is the only son of the Okeke family and has two siblings named Joy Okeke and Chidera Okeke.

Rhymer_Lee is a Nigerian by birth. He is of Igbo ethnicity and hails from Anambra State in the South Eastern region of the country. He was born and raised in Anambra. He speaks English and Ibo fluently.

He wanted to pursue his passion for music, but his father discouraged him. This was because he was the only son in the family. Rhymer_Lee’s father believed that becoming a musician was not the right career path for him.

However, Rhymer_Lee did not let this stop him from honing his talent. He spent his free time developing his songwriting and singing skills. To become a better stage performer and show the world what he had to offer, he often attended street festivals and music shows and performed at events. He also became a popular student in high school because he delighted his classmates with his music at school events.

In 2020, during the Covid 19 pandemic, Rhymer_Lee released his official debut single, Corona. The single was about the current health situation in the world. Although he used a free track to create the song and uploaded it only to Audiomack, the song achieved commendable success. It was a hit in the underground music community in the Southeast and received many positive reviews.
