Hammond is married to Mindy Hammond, a columnist for the Daily Express.

Career
After completing his studies, Hammond began his career as a radio presenter for various BBC stations. He became famous as a presenter on Radio Lancashire, where he interviewed motoring journalist Zogg Ziegler.
