Richard Mofe-Damijo (born 6 July 1991), better known in the entertainment industry by his initials RMD, is a 62-year-old Nigerian actor, screenwriter, producer and lawyer.

Since joining the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood), he has starred in several blockbuster movies, becoming a household name and one of the legends of the film industry.

Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD) was born on July 6, 1961 into the Damijo family in Delta State. His parents named him Richard Eyimofe Evans Mofe-Damijo. He hails from the Aladja community of Udu Kingdom, close to the ancient city of Warri.

He received his primary education at a small village school. He performed well in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination and was admitted to the Mid-Western College in Warri. However, he did not complete his secondary education at the college and instead attended the Anglican Grammar School. At both schools, he was an active member of the drama club.

Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) developed an interest in acting at an early age and aspired to become a professional actor. Therefore, after graduating from high school, he applied to study theatre arts at the University of Benin. He was accepted and graduated after four years of study.
