Early life and education
Ridhwan Azman was born in Singapore on April 9, 1993. When he was nine, his biological father had an affair with his Indonesian housekeeper; soon after, his parents divorced. He has two brothers: Khasyir Azman and Khalish Azman, and a sister named Kayley Tan.
Since then, he and his siblings have been raised by their mother. Due to the divorce, the family temporarily lost their house and had to live with other relatives. Ridwan Azman claimed that he was “forced to take on adult responsibilities” in order to take care of his mother and siblings.
His mother eventually remarried three years after their divorce, and he was said to have had a good relationship with his stepfather until his death in 2014.
As his biological parents were going through divorce procedures, Ridwan Azman had to change schools frequently. He once studied at Junyuan Primary School and later transferred to Lotus Primary School.
A week later, he was sent back to Jun Yuan Primary School and then enrolled in Balestier Hill Primary School “before the PSLE”.
After completing his schooling at Bendemeer Secondary School, Ridhwan Azman enrolled at ITE Bishan to study Event Management but dropped out early to star in Ah Boys to Men.

Ridwan Azman and Luna Goh were in a relationship for many years but eventually broke up. Their relationship made headlines when Luna Goh accused him of assaulting her.
On August 3, Luna Woo published a lengthy blog post recounting the torture she endured at the hands of Ridhwan Azman. She even posted photos of her injuries from the abuse.
In response to Luna Woo’s allegations, Ridhwan Azman explained his side of the matter in a blog post titled “I Love This Girl.” According to Ridhwan Azman, Luna Woo was the one who “slapped him and laughed at him on the bus,” which led to the breakdown of their relationship.
