After a few years in the industry, she focused on her true passion: acting. She then attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City.

Early life and education
Rifka Lodeizen was born in Amsterdam, North Holland, on October 16, 1972. She is the daughter of a famous Dutch artist named Frank Lodeizen.
She was named Rifke at birth, but she chose Rifka, the name of her father’s older sister, when she became a teenager. Her paternal grandmother was a strong believer in Judaism.
Her mother’s name is Conny M. Lodeizen-Veenema, and Rifka Lodeizen was raised along with her three siblings named Noa Lodeizen, Ruben Lodeizen, and Benjamin Lodeizen.

Career
Rifka Lodeizen made her acting debut in the 1991 film The Province, although she was only given a supporting role. While on set, Eddy Terstall, a film director, discovered her and cast her in his 1996 film Hufters & Hofdames.
She was also awarded the Golden Calf for Best Actress at the 2009 Dutch Film Festival for her remarkable performance in Esther Rots’ film titled Can Go Through Skin.
Rifka Lodeizen then won the Golden Calf Award for Best Actress in a Television Series in 2012 for her role in Frank Ketelaar’s drama Overspel.
She was then nominated for the award in 2019 for her role in the television series Judas. She was also nominated for the Golden Calf Award for her roles in Tonio in 2016 and Disappearance in 2017.
Together with Paula van der Oest, Rifka Lodeizen also wrote the script for Kleine IJstijd in 2017. She also stars in a comedy series titled Maud & Babs, which was filmed and premiered in 2021.
