Romeo Tan (born 9 April 1985) is a talented Singaporean actor and television personality. He was declared one of the eight Dukes of Caldecott. Caldecott is a small area in Singapore that is home to many of the country’s famous and wealthy people.

Early life and education
Romeo Tan was born in Singapore on 9 April 1985. He is the third and youngest child of Lee-Leng Tan, a full-time housewife, and Michael Tan, a businessman. He has two brothers: Rowell Tan and Robin Tan.
He grew up in a HDB flat in Ang Mo Kio and attended Rosay School for primary school. Romeo Tan attended Hwa Chong Institution for secondary school and National Junior College for junior college.
After graduating from college, Romeo was admitted to Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore, majoring in business administration and minoring in marketing. In 2007, he graduated with honors.

He auditioned for the show and after being selected as one of the top twenty contestants of the season, he made it to the quarterfinals. After being selected as one of the top three contestants in the quarterfinals, he advanced to the finals in the semifinals.
Romeo Tan came in third, defeated by Jeffrey Xu in the final. He, along with Jeffrey Xu, Adeline Lim, Sora Ma, James Seah and Darryl Yong, were offered a two-year contract by MediaCorp.
In 2012, Romeo Tan landed a supporting role in the highly regarded international police procedural drama CLIF, playing a supporting role in front of other Star Awards finalists, and for his performance he was nominated for the Best Newcomer Award at the 2012 Star Awards, however, the award went to Peng Liyuan.
He then landed a role in the famous TV series, Joy Life, where he played an antagonist for the first time, one of the biggest roles of his career. He was hailed as one of the rising stars in the industry and received positive reviews for his performance.
Romeo Tan played Kim Jong-nam, a charismatic chef who falls in love with Dusman (Chen Fengling) and Wu Yanbin in the movie “Don’t Believe”. Later, he played the fish prince in the holiday blockbuster “Two People”.
